![]() The team spirit of the minersThe hard and dangerous work below ground has always united the miners into a closely-knit community. As a group (e.g. during a firm’s excursion or a club excursion) you follow together the traces of over 2,500 years of successful history and find your very own team spirit! Experience the unique atmosphere of a location that had united the Celts to become strong teams of miners already 400 BC, to be able to mine the essential “white gold” in the kilometre-long tunnels. Experience how the efficient prince-archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau (1559-1617) had the precious salt mine with technical innovation through wet mining in massive amounts and created the sumptuous Baroque capital of Salzburg (a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage today). Inhuman privation and human fate was inseparable with the radiant power of the “white gold” and can be felt to this day in the old tunnels. The group experience begins with the ride together into the mountain and continues rapidly down wooden slides into long-forgotten worlds.
For all those who do not wish to enter the mineThe waiting time can be spent in the vicinity at the Celtic Village, the Celtic Museum, the Silent Night Museum, the Dürrnberg Pilgrimage Church or the Salt Worlds Bistro and Shop. The delights of nature also offer recuperative walks.
