In the Footsteps of the Celts Guided tours of SALINA Celtic Village

Archaeologists have excavated around 400 graves and many artefacts of local settlement on the Dürrnberg. Mining and trade of “white gold” brought prosperity to the Celts, reflected in often large houses that were richly appointed. You can visit these houses as part of a guided tour with your group. A leather workshop, a blacksmith’s shop and a Celtic mound grave have likewise been reconstructed true to the originals in the village. Listen to exciting stories about the lives led by members of the Ice Age community, pick up many of the exhibits in your own hands and, with the help of interactive stations, immerse yourself in the daily life of the Ancient Celts on the Dürrnberg, just as it was 2,600 years ago. And experience history “up close and personal”!
