The Mystic Gorge - Salt mine & Lammerklamm

After you visit the Hallein salt mines, catch a breath of fresh air while visiting one of the most beautiful sights in the Salzburg area: the breathtaking Lammerklamm Gorge in Scheffau.

A captivating natural wonder of light, water and shadow, the Lammerklamm gorge has been accessible to tourists since 1884. Safe footbridges along the cliff walls provide a danger-free view the whole family can enjoy. The path leads down to riotous waters of the Lammer River, and offer an impressive view. The most beautiful section, called the Dunkle Klamm (dark gorge), is right near the entrance.
