Learning for Life: the "Subterranean Classroom"
Theoretical knowledge is important. But if you combine theory with practice, what you learn sticks in your brain – teachers know that. That’s one reason why more and more students take part in the program called “Subterranean Classroom”. History you can touch and experiment with. Learning has never been this much fun!
Our guides – specially trained mine guides, incidentally – will take you and your students on a journey into this fascinating world of salt, miners and “salt princes”. They will answer all of your questions about history, mining technology, the lives the miners led, and much more. Because theoretical knowledge you can actually put into practice is twice as valuable, every school class also receives its very own salt experimentation bag. This contains a wide selection of salt products, additional information and instructions for experiments. With this solid foundation, young researchers can deepen and broaden their knowledge once they are back in their own classroom, or even at home
